- Is it possible to have multiple winsock DLLs running at the same time?
-
- The situation is that I want to use Trumpet winsock for a SLIP/modem link,
- and use Novell's winsock for other applications (over the LAN) - in the same
- computer at the same time.

- Subject: WinTalk -- Help in initiating talk from Windows
-
-
- The problem I have is that my return address is not the IP address that SLIP
- returned to me. What the other person get's is the hostname of the SLIP
- server I'm on.
-
- So if I'm on Windows, the person on UNIX gets:
- respond with: talk name@slip.calpoly.edu
-
- How can I get it so that I can modify the slip.calpoly.edu to a
- 129.65.100.116 -- the IP address returned to me by SLIP?
-
- Any suggestions?
-
-
-
-
- P.S. in my hosts file, I have:
- 129.65.100.116 129.65.100.116 (I tried changing the name, but still
- same results.)
